G.I. Joe!

O.K. y'all, how many of us grew up playing with a Joe?! Big or small, go and vote to show how influential it was!

It was those and the plastic army men. I used to have tunnels and trenches and pillboxes that i dug in the dirt for each set. The ones nowadays are nothing like they used to be.

When I was like a toddler, an older neighbor boy gave me his 12" Joe collection, (his name was actually Joe!). This was early 70s and they were the military Joes. That got me started with wanting Joes. By then it was the Adventure Team that was in stores,(with lifelike hair and kung-fu grip) and I collected quite a few Joes and accessories. I only got 2 vehicles: the black Capture-copter, and the Seawolf sub! My cousin and I would get together with his collection and play. Like you dug trenches in the back yard, kung-fu grip across the clothesline, rode the dogs! Great times!
