But let's not dwell on the negative. Let's turn this sorry situation into a positive thing and have some fun doing it! ;D Therefore, I invite you all to play the Kookaburra Field Dead Pool! Whoever can guess the date of the last skirmish to be played at the Kookaburra Field airsoft site before it's final closure wins the pot. have some fun and possibly win some money at the same time! The specific rules are as follows: -Each entry costs 5$, paid via Paypal. Each entry entitles the player to one guess as to the date. A player may enter as many times as he or she wishes. The more times you enter, the better your chance of winning! -Anyone is welcome to play, with the exception of the field owner, OC-^6 Dave. Nothing against him, but he has control over scheduling games. So to avoid accusations of manipulation of the pool, he is ineligable to enter the pool. Sorry, man!  -All entries to the pool must be revieved no later than midnight on April 30, 2012. Any entries recieved after that will not be accepted. -The winner of the Kookaburra Field Dead Pool is the players who's date is the closest to the actual day of the final skirmish at the field. The winner shall receive the total of all the pot, minus Paypal's transfer fee and a 5% cut for the game organizer. Should more than one player be eligable for the prize, the pot shall be devided amongst all the winners. In the event that the Kookaburra Field does not close by 4/24/2013 the contest shall be deamed to be over, with no winners and no prize awarded. -Payment of the prize pot will only be delivered via Paypal. -Names of the players will remain confidential, as will their guessed dates. However, periodic updates at to the current total of the prize pot shall be announced. Watch this space for updates! If you want a piece of this action, PM me at this account and we'll direct you to the Paypal address for the game. The rules are posted above and should be pretty clear. If you have any specific questions as to the rules, etc, feel free to post them here. It's simultaneously amazing and pathetic how far out of your way you're willing to go. You publically harass and offensively criticize the kookaburra field owner, attempt to involve members of this airsoft community, old and new, who tire of the drama and contention this matter has brought up. Your postings are textbook definition of trolling, and you've caused more than enough frustration and negative emotional reponses regardless of opinion on the matter. On top of that, NOW you're attempting a completely absurd, unsolicited wager on the failure of kookaburra field. A bet that has no merit nor substance, simply for the purpose watching someone else fail, using twisting words and phrases that obviously wishes complete ill will on the owner. Not to mention it arouses suspicion of unethical business practices. I'm calling you out right now. Enough. You're not welcome here. You're not fooling anyone. I bet the field will never close and this whole stupid little feasco will make it stronger!!! All the trash talk and insults from the other guys that dont like the field or the forum are just trying to find a way to be heard! there blowing smoke out there arses and need to give it up. This isnt going to close the field down!

What's that saying "people throw rocks at things that shine"? Those around the Temple field run by Dave serves us great enjoyment on weekends. The good times, friendship, and spirit of airsoft is great here every weekend, rain or shine. Church groups, couples, and young kids come to the field to engage in the sport we favor. They will continue to come.
Dave lives a good life, he has a very nice field. I don't understand why someone would ridicule and mock a family man and businessman retired from a successful career to open up a very large facility with lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lost of airsoft/military equipment at our disposal. Dave is here to serve the community, and does a great job at sponsoring the sport in the central TX area.
SO, for those of you who don't like how things are run here: don't come. This field has grown because of the hard dedication of community members in the area and beyond.
