So most know I'm not the most air-smith savvy person in the game so with some guns I'm a bit unaware of what works best for them or how a particular function works based how the different manufacturer put the gun together. www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=37822So it says its LiPo ready...yes I know just because it says it does not mean it is, however lets give it the benefit of the doubt and say it is, what kind of LiPo would work best here?

There is no such thing as a stock "lipo ready" gun. The switch contacts will without a doubt fail in time without a mosfet of some kind. Also motor brushes will wear down faster due to arching causing carbon build up. That being said, I run a true RC car battery in one of my guns. 5000mah 40c 11.1v lipo. I know how to maintain both my gun and my battery though.

That thing is scary the RC car battery is pretty awesome as it is but the one with the tank scares me the most even though I've been shot more with the RC car one.........Ok I had my fun carry on

My 2 cents...and someone correct me if I'm wrong...but liposuction generally give u a faster rate of fire, with a variable fps boost too. Sooo, another option to accomplish either/or is upgrade/downgrade the motor.

An 11.1v battery will fry your trigger contacts relatively quickly, so to use one reliably you need a MOSFET, however, 7.4v lipos are about like 9.6v batteries so you should be able to use one for a while without any trouble.
You should also reshim, relube, correct AoE, and radius the gearbox cylinder window. Even with the so called self shimming gears that evike shows in the picture, you still should shim one side of them.

Sooo, another option to accomplish either/or is upgrade/downgrade the motor. "liposuction" might make you run faster... thats about it... A LIPO battery however. Yes, faster rate of fire. No, FPS gain. The spring is still going back the same distance. Its just being pulled back and released at a faster rate. ALTHOUGH, there is a theory on ported cylinders..... Never mind thats for a PM or something... As for motors, they are generally wound in to ways. Thin wires for speed, and thicker wires for torque. However with the growing popularity in "neo" magnets, the overall torque and speed of both motors has been greatly raised. A good example, in my "Speed Queen" I use a high torque motor. It produces 39 RPS with an m120 spring. There is no loss of effectiveness in this motor because its made for torque, but still fast at the same time.

so would using a 9.6 normal battery be more than fine for the gun or will I be not getting every bit of umph out of the gun. If rate of fire is the only thing that changes I have no problem not running a LiPo, if I need to put a whole midcap into someone for one kill I might as well switch to a support gun lol.
I appreciate all the comments and suggestions from everyone, been very helpful. Also was a nice way to get some nice back and forth about guns and their internals out lol. As this thread has no specific topic fill free to bring more question in if you so wish.

You can get a good lipo and a balancer charger for less than the cost of a 9.6v nimh battery. My $15 7.4v 2200mah 20c lipo lasts longer and has a better rate of fire than my $35 intellect 9.6v 1600mah nimh. Total for lipo and smart/balance charger: $33. Total for nihm and smart charger: $50. This website, www.xheli.com/ has excellent prices on lipos. Skylipo brand batteries are cheap and work great.

Dave you got in LiPos that won't cause me to have to reconstruct my gun lol? I like buying from the field when I can to help support the thousands of construction ideas people want lol.
