Kookaburra Field, and why I am unlikely to return
I've been out to Kookaburra three times, and today, Reforger, was probably my last. The things I would need to see fixed are as follows, with a reason why beneath each, and a suggestion if i can think of one
Promptness: If I pay to play from 10-3pm i expect to play from ten to three, which means chrono-ing before hand and getting the safety briefings out of the way. Suggestion: Do things on time, this is easy, or push back the start time to 11 and possibly start early.
Safety Briefings: Something always seems to be forgoten and later called out, or never even mentioned at all. Suggestion: Post a sign with everything you need to cover on it, and go down the list.
Chrono: The chrono station is based far to much on honor. People could be running 4.0s for anyone knows. Suggestion: watch them load your 2.0s into the mag and fire them through, it will take a bit longer but will be much safer
Organization: Today at reforger this was especially true, i expected one team to be green camo and one to be tan camo and if anyone wasnt my color (green) i needed to shoot them. Within five minutes of the game starting i had no idea who was on my team, which i found extremely frustrating and friendly fire abounded. Suggestion: Make everyone wear the correct color camo, if they dont have it make them buy/borrow it or they cant play.
Dave: This one may be a bit inflammatory but hear me out. As a female air-softer I understand that I am not the norm, but i wish to be treated the same as everyone else. On one occasion Dave told me to shut my ears so he could say something to a group of guys. This pissed me off as it likely would any other female in the sport, im there to shoot and get shot at, not to be a princess. Solution: Think before you speak. Period.
TL;DR Fix your stuff, I may come back, until then I'll suggest your field to no one.

You shooting friendlies isnt daves fault. Its your fault for not being preparred and studying the teams. Now I do agree with several of these points but I think youre taking it out of hand. If safety briefing starts late and chrono runs long that is the players fault. Just my .02 ¢. I agree reforger had its problems but it seemed to me the allied forces did not have any problems with friendly fire.

You shooting friendlies isnt daves fault. Its your fault for not being preparred and studying the teams. Studying the 60 something people on my team and all the different patterns is doable, but not when a group of 30 guys shows up when my unit was already deployed. Additionally it wasn't me hitting friendlies I was talking about, it was them hitting me. You also mention there was little to no confusion for the ally side, that's wonderful, it means that everyone on your team either a. Knew what they were doing and dressed appropriately ahead of time or b. there just happened to be more people wearing tan than green. It's likely a little column A a little column B, but in the future it would be nice to have everyone in their proper team uniforms as it isn't like Dave is running low on them.

I'm not disagreeing. It definitely would make for a better game if there was no confusion.

We stsrted 30 min late and played a hr longer adding 30 min to the game. I balanced the game and gave everyone more play time to make up for the 30 min lost.
Safety Briefings: Something always seems to be forgoten and later called out, or never even mentioned at all. Suggestion: Post a sign with everything you need to cover on it, and go down the list.
Rules are posted in the building on the wall, here on the forum and at the clip board at sign in.
Chrono: The chrono station is based far to much on honor. People could be running 4.0s for anyone knows. Suggestion: watch them load your 2.0s into the mag and fire them through, it will take a bit longer but will be much safer.
I have done that in the past and it takes about 2 hrs per 100 people. That’s why we spot checked over 30 guns on the field to back up the first crono check.
Organization: Today at reforger this was especially true, i expected one team to be green camo and one to be tan camo and if anyone wasnt my color (green) i needed to shoot them. The uniforms have been posted for over 2 months here on the forum. Only had 2 odd ball cammo patterns out there (DDR and desert flectarn) everyone else was in a groop of over 6 players to 15 players in the same cammo.

This will probably be a tad inflammatory, but hear me out: If someone wants to be treated like a normal person and not a princess, the should probably bring these issues up as they happen (and maybe make fun of dave back in the process, since that's kinda how things run) rather than waiting till you're home at the forums to complain. The last girl this happened with (I was there), dave told her to cover her ears, she said "f**k you dave" and we all laughed, and all was well. Strong language isn't necessary, obviously, but my point is that if you act like a princess, you'll get treated like a princess. You're in a sport with 99% guys, you need to be able to stand up for yourself. Everyone else does, so if you want to be treated like the rest, act like them (though you don't have to swear like we do if you don't want, ) *EDIT* Btw, Dave makes fun of me all the time. It's just part of hsi personality, and it's hilarious. This is a motto I use elsewhere, but it fits rather well here: "If we're not making fun of you, we don't like you."

The reason NATO did not have an unifrom identification problem is because 1: I gave them a list of friendly and enemy unifroms. I am sorry if your team did not provide you with one. 2: Yall didnt come up with a running password. NATO was instructed to yell "BLUE" at anyone they were not sure of (I heard it a couple times myself) and if the opponent did not yell back "Corn" they were fair game.
Those are basics that should be applied to every game. As for any disrespecting remarks. I am very sorry that happened to you and no one deserves to be put down. I am truly sorry that happened.

That girl who told him f you was me, classy I know.
And alas, no we were not provided with a list of enemy camo, but yes that would have been nice.

I few things on what was posted.
1. Starting times - Dave, can only post times. It's up to the players to actually get signed in, find/ask where the chorno station is, and get ready to play.
2. Safety briefings are big importance of it, even though someone can recite it everyweek there will always be a bit here and theres that are forgotten. Also as Dave has mentioned the rules were no secret, if you actually read the waiver and the rules posted on it. Then you shouldn't have much to say about it.
3. Chorno station - I do agree this could have been done A LOT better, but chorno guy was trying his best to do what he thought was right.
4. The organization was in no fault of Dave's fault, again it was no secret about what the uniforms were. If you were receiving friendly fire, then it should be upon that team/commander/squad etc etc. to rectify it.
5. The field adheres to customers requests, there will always be complaints compliments and what not. The field is owned and ran by one person most of the time with the help and support from his family. Either you decide to play at the field or don't refer it to anyone is up to you. The community that plays there regularly will continue to grow and expand this field with or without those.

It's really moot at this point but he could start it right at whenever and people who are late can't enter the game till they have sat through the whole thing, basically just start no matter what and if people weren't there at the start have them wait till everyone else is ready to say it again. 2. It's not me specifically, I understand how to be safe, it's the kids and new players I'm worried about not knowing to shoot someone 3 ft away 3. Agreed 4. The fact that from the start the uniforms on the sides were a mix of tan and green is the main issue. 5. Your vague threat at the end is silly, businesses cant thrive on negative reviews.

There has been negative reviews on this field in this past and the field has only gotten better from those that continue to support it and help out the field. The last comment was by no means a threat , it was silly of you to even think so. If you think I am wrong then kindly just send it PM. No need to start a keyboard war. Also that last sentence is a true statement, with or without you we are moving on.

I don't usually like to be "that guy", however when the marines joined red team at the later part of the day, I had NO problem thinking "OK that camos on my team". Don't fret over individuals, create categories.
Also, props to blue with the running word, good idea.
