I don't think that is actually a QD point. From what i've been able to gather, that would be where you would thread / tie / knot the 550 cord that you would then attach the sling to on the Tavor.

Yup - Real Steel uses 5-50 cord if you can believe it...
Route the 5-50 cord through the front sling pin and tie it off. For the rear of the stock, you route both ends of 5-50 cord through the rear stock sling hole, then tie it off to the opposite side. This allows for a low profile tight sling attachment point to the weapon.

ok cool, where can I find the 5-50 cord, and is there a particular way to tie it or is it one of those when you see it it explains itself?

5-50 cord can be found at any Military surplus shop - I wouldn't be surprised if Dave has spools of it lying around too.
As for the knot - it depends on how much you learned in the boy scouts ;D

well I can do my best to recall my boy scout years, but that was sometime ago. There is always the good old interweb to help job the memory too. What knot am I looking to tie?
